Young people deserve more than good intentions.

REMIX is building a professional, high-energy social mobility model around the relationships, practical skills and opportunities that help young Londoners move forward.

Our vision

A London where starting point does not define destination.

We want every young person in London, regardless of their starting point, to have the confidence, skills and resilience to shape a positive and vibrant future.

Our mission

To unlock the potential of young Londoners aged 11–26 from socio-economically deprived areas through bespoke programmes focused on Skills, Mentoring, Development and Wellbeing, ensuring they have opportunities to succeed.

Why REMIX

Opportunity becomes powerful when someone can actually use it.

REMIX exists because social mobility is not solved by one intervention. Skills, confidence, wellbeing, networks and consistent guidance interact with one another.

The gap

Young people can face overlapping barriers: limited networks, missing practical skills, socio-economic stress and too few consistent aspirational adults outside their immediate environment.

The bridge

REMIX creates a nurturing pathway that connects positive relationships with practical capability and direct exposure to progression opportunities.

Professional from day one

Energy on the surface. Structure underneath.

REMIX is volunteer-led in its early stage, but the operating model is designed around clear accountability and safe, consistent delivery.

Safeguarding

Robust safeguarding

Mandatory training, clear boundaries and reporting procedures for people working with young participants.

Mentoring

Structured relationships

Defined goals, boundaries and support so mentoring is purposeful, consistent and safe.

Impact

BASK measurement

Behaviour, Attitude, Skills and Knowledge provide a consistent framework for evidencing development.

Governance

Trustee oversight

A Board of Trustees provides oversight of legal, financial and organisational responsibilities.

Our growth strategy

Build the infrastructure before we scale the promise.

REMIX is currently powered by a 100% volunteer workforce. Over the next two years, the priority is to secure sustainable partnerships and funding for a part-time coordinator and sessional workers — strengthening consistency without losing the energy of the volunteer model.
